About Cozy/LoveLane

Founded in 1968, Cozy Formal Wear has over forty years of experience in the formal wear business. We have out fitted thousands of people throughout New Jersey with their formal needs. From proms, to weddings, to black tie events, Cozy covers it all.

How did the name Cozy come about? In 1962 at 186 Mountain View Boulevard in Wayne, NJ Cozy Cleaners was started. Prior to Cozy Cleaners, 186 Mountain View Boulevard hosted the Cozy Tavern for many years. So it was decided to leave name Cozy in the new business since the building was known as the Cozy building. In 1968 a small tuxedo rental concession was started in the dry cleaners. The tuxedo rentals went from being a sideline for Cozy to our only business with in a few years.

Cozy is family owned and operated. Starting as a single store operation in Wayne New Jersey, Cozy opened their second store in Morristown in 1975 and has been in that location since. In 1988 Cozy moved its production facility from Wayne to Nutley New Jersey. Cozy also moved their store from Mountain View Boulevard to Route 23 North, which meant the end of Cozy Cleaners. The new 8,000 square foot building in Nutley provided Cozy with the much-needed room for growth to support their formal wear business. In 1991 Cozy purchased LoveLane Tuxedos in Red Bank, which was established in 1954. Since then Cozy/LoveLane has opened it newest store in downtown Westfield in 2003.
